THE TINY GARDENER

This gouache painting was a school assignment that started off as process work based around a topic, and then asked us to expand on that idea which turned into this piece.

I am a huge fan of drawing and painting plants so it was exciting for me to see how I might depict them in gouache for the first time, playing a lot with light and color. And I added a little gardener, because… well he felt like he belongs there.
